ummm... layer lang tos convert sa b&w ung isang image, sabay erase ng first layer. :D don't know of the other good more effective techniques, that's the only technique i discovered or learned. :D yan oh, si randall and rage, lupit sa PP! kaso wala na ko maalala sa mga sinabi nila nung sat night! haha!

Thanks, dude. I only used desaturate command in this photo then played a with levels and contrast. ;)

One of my favorite in your set. You got the elements Larry. Bago pumitik ng trigger you are waiting for the right moment to capture the emotions. 2nd Minimalistic approach for the subject is very effective. 3rd you use stand out backgrounds to support the main subjects... what can i say! congrats Bro!. Ang galing ng set mo. Hope one of these days..we could shoot on street again.

Bro joel, i find this shot quite funny. When I was shooting there, somebody must've told these people inside this house that there's a photographer outside, then the next thing I knew, they're already peeking from that door... asking what's with the camera! ayaw nmn magsilabasan! hehe... and yes, i wanted to put faces in the entire blue frame, and i think it worked well. Thanks, mate!

I think that's another factor to consider when doing street shot, not just focus on a subject and blur the background. Having the background a little sharper in the frame could tell a good story behind the photo. I've seen a lot of street shots and documentaries and some of them have detailed backgrounds to inform the viewers that this is what's happening, and veiwers immediately identify this story by just looking at it... story telling must be the other name for street/documentary photography. I hope i did tell a story! hehe

Darryl, thanks a lot! last sunday we're supposed to have a shoot with Red, right? I don't know what happened though, di na nakareply si Red sa emails ko. hehe... pero okay lang, tanghali na rin ako nagising nun eh. hehe...sige plan ulit tayo next time or sooner along with astig na bro Joel and others.

Very good composition and the play of colors were all well controlled. I don't know if it would look better if the lady is on the right side of the frame.

Thanks Cesar! glad you like it! :) I think it would look all the same, left or right. Depending on the story that you want to tell. In this particular scene, this man (i believe he's a guy, hehe) stood a few seconds there, seemed like unable to decide if he should cross the street or not, or maybe thinking of something that made him decide to go back from where he was walking from... so putting him on the left side of the frame, with his back turned against the large area of the wall almost shows that he's going back, and not moving forward. :):) Thanks, again!
